Job summary
Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd seeks a Cable Route Design Engineer to own route development on major UK infrastructure projects, combining technical engineering with stakeholder engagement and project coordination, with nationwide site travel and a flexible hybrid working setup.
The successful candidate will assess viable route corridors, use GIS/mapping tools, coordinate site investigations and work with clients, landowners and authorities from concept through approval.
Qualifications
- Experience in route development / feasibility / infrastructure planning (utilities / power / major infrastructure).
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Lead route feasibility studies for transmission and distribution / infrastructure projects.
- Identify and evaluate route corridors using GIS / mapping tools and site investigations.
- Engage with clients, landowners, local authorities and utility providers.
- Work with hybrid/remote setup and travel for site visits and client meetings.
