Job summary

Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Cable Routes Project Manager for contract assignments across the UK to lead onshore HV cable routes, including ducting, trenching, HDD, jointing bays, cable pulling and jointing.

The role targets a project manager with strong civils and HV cabling delivery experience, managing programme, budget, risk and third-party interfaces while ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and NRSWA.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience on HV or EHV cable route projects.
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in civil or electrical engineering.
• SMSTS, CSCS and NRSWA awareness.
• Experience of NEC contracts and multi-stakeholder delivery environments.
• Understanding of cable pulling calculations, jointing sequences and route logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of HV cable route installation from mobilisation to energisation.
• Manage programme, budget, risk and change control across the full route.
• Coordinate civils, ducting, jointing and cable pulling work fronts.
• Manage third-party interfaces including local authorities, highways, landowners and utilities.
• Oversee streetworks permits, wayleaves, consents and environmental constraints.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, NRSWA and client technical specifications.

You will lead the delivery of onshore HV cable routes — covering ducting, trenching, HDD, jointing bays, cable pulling and jointing — on grid connection, reinforcement and renewable energy schemes. This position suits a project manager with strong civils and HV cabling delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of HV cable route installation from mobilisation to energisation
