ICE Recruit is seeking a chartered or incorporated civil or structural professional to join a busy insurance loss adjusting practice. You will manage a portfolio of commercial and residential claims from notification through to completion, diagnosing issues affecting buildings and prescribing repairs, with a team of field-based surveyors supervising contractors.

The role supports a long-established work-from-home culture with IT-enabled systems.

Qualifications

• Incorporated or chartered with the ICE or IStructE.
• Consulting or contracting background in building or civil engineering.
• Knowledge of design or construction including site supervision or survey and inspection of existing structures.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of commercial and residential claims from notification through to completion.
• Diagnose building issues (often subsidence related) and prescribe appropriate repairs and mitigation.
• Oversee works by appointed contractors with field-based surveyors supervising progress.
• Provide technical guidance to conclude each case successfully.
• Demonstrate clear, well-written reporting and strong organisational skills.

Connaissances

Chartered/ Incorporated ICE or IStruct

Loss adjusting in insurance

Building/civil engineering background

Knowledge of CDM regulations

Report writing

Organisational skills

Driving licence
