Construction Resources Limited is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to join our specialist consultancy focusing on structural investigations, building defects, engineering design and insurance-related work. The role covers residential, commercial and industrial properties, delivering expert assessments and practical repair strategies for insured claims.

You will carry out inspections and investigations, identify causes of damage, prepare technical reports and advise on appropriate repair

Formación

• Chartered status with IStructE or equivalent professional institution.
• Experience as a Structural Engineer in a consultancy environment.
• Direct experience handling insured building work and insurance-related commissions.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out structural inspections and investigations of buildings affected by insured events.
• Diagnose cause and extent of structural damage and defects.
• Prepare detailed structural reports with findings and remedial recommendations.
• Develop practical repair/reinstatement strategies for insured projects.
• Prepare work schedules, repair specifications and technical documentation for insurance claims.
• Advise insurers, loss adjusters, surveyors and property owners on engineering matters.
• Review movement, foundation issues, and other defects in existing buildings.
• Undertake structural calculations and design work to support repairs.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure remedial works are feasible and deliverable.
• Attend site meetings and monitor remedial works as needed.
• Support tendering and contract administration related to commissions.
• Manage workloads and deliver reports within agreed timescales.
• Maintain records and uphold professional standards across commissions.
