Job summary

FutureSearch is seeking a Software Engineer for a fully remote role based in the United Kingdom. You will own production backend work, develop LLM APIs, and contribute to forecasting research within an AI forecasting company.

You will design, deploy, monitor, and debug services while shipping features for the FutureSearch app, collaborating with a distributed team across North America and Europe. The role offers flexible hours and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and backend engineering for production systems.
• Experience designing, deploying, monitoring, and debugging services at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data stores (Postgres, ClickHouse) and data orchestration (Dagster).
• Experience with LLM APIs and AI-assisted development.
• Interest in forecasting research and AI-enabled product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own production backend from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Ship features in the FutureSearch app and build on LLM APIs.
• Evaluate state-of-the-art forecasting systems and extend benchmark pipelines.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
