Job summary

Strata Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join their rapidly growing consultancy. This role offers a fully remote basis anywhere in the UK or Europe, with work focused on highways and drainage design and related planning and detailed design packages.

You will lead project work, prepare fee proposals, manage teams, and liaise with clients to win new business while ensuring design outputs comply with regulations and budgets.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng/IEng) or near-equivalent with 7+ years in UK drainage/highway design.
• Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/BSc) or higher.
• Proven experience preparing fee proposals and liaising with clients to win work.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Strong project management delivering multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Deep technical skills in highway and drainage design.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of fee proposals / tenders.
• Project management from start to completion.
• Efficient design work using FLOW, AutoCAD, SITE 3D.
• Oversee and check outputs of a civil engineering team.
• Attend site and design team meetings as necessary.
• Undertake business development to secure new relationships.
