Job summary

McHale Komatsu is recruiting an Apprentice Construction Plant Engineer to work remotely and be based in Reading. This fixed-term 4-year programme combines college and hands-on training with experienced engineers in workshop and field environments.

You will gain skills in maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and safety, supported by mentors. A full UK driving licence is essential for travel to customer sites. GCSEs in Maths, English and Science are required.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in machinery, engineering and the plant industry.
• Problem solving and hands-on work.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced Service Engineers in workshop and field.
• Support maintenance and repair of advanced construction equipment.
