Job summary

SER Limited in Essex is seeking a skilled Field Service Plant Engineer to join our team. This fully remote role involves maintaining and repairing plant machinery across Essex, with a company van provided for travel to sites; diggers, dumpers, rollers and excavators are among the equipment you will service.

The position offers a 39-hour week with overtime paid at 1.5x and double time, 30 days holiday, a pension scheme, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, rollers and excavators.
• NVQ qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
• Travel to customer sites across Essex to provide on-site support.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns.
• Collaborate with the team to improve service delivery.
