Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Masters or PhD researchers to design and evaluate high-difficulty AI problems and advance AI reasoning. This fully remote, hourly contract role requires deep research experience and the ability to work independently while collaborating with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance.

You will review complex problem statements, ensure rigorous academic quality, and be part of a cutting-edge effort pushing AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top university.
• Strong track record of research, publications, or complex technical project work.
• Think rigorously and structure hard problems when faced with ambiguity.
• Communicate clearly in writing with exceptional attention to detail.
• Work independently and reliably without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, solve, and critically review advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world relevance across STEM and other technical domains.
• Apply your research expertise to construct complex problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities.
