Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Masters or PhD researchers to design and evaluate high-difficulty AI problems and advance AI reasoning. This fully remote, hourly contract role requires deep research experience and the ability to work independently while collaborating with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance.

You will review complex problem statements, ensure rigorous academic quality, and be part of a cutting-edge effort pushing AI capabilities at scale.

Who You Are

• Work independently and reliably without the need for close supervision
• Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or data quality workflows
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
• Background spanning multiple technical disciplines — breadth is a real asset here
• Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or machine learning concepts
