Job summary

i2 Group is seeking a Platform Software Engineer on a full-time basis, with a remote role but monthly attendance at the Cambridge offices. You will design, build, and maintain platform tooling to deploy and operate i2 products across desktop, cloud, and on-premise targets.

You will own deployment strategies, ensure secure, auditable operations, and contribute to AI-driven development workflows while collaborating with Architects, UX Designers, and Product Managers.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping software to multiple deployment targets with differing constraints.
• Hands-on containerization experience with production-grade images.
• Proficient in Cloud IaC (AWS CDK/CloudFormation) and CI/CD tooling.
• Understanding of application security, identity models, and secrets handling.
• Strong collaboration with engineers, architects, and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software and tooling to deploy, configure, and operate i2 Group products across desktop, single-box, on-premise, and cloud targets.
• Build production-grade container images and interfaces they expose to hosting platforms.
• Own deployment and upgrade stories for stateful distributed components, including recovery paths.
• Deliver releases to customers across diverse environments and support upgrade paths.
• Develop internal platform capabilities enabling R&D self-serve infrastructure and software.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling.
• Instrument deployments and delivery pipelines to drive data-informed decisions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure AI-generated output quality.
• Own testing strategy for deployments.
