Job summary

M&G is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to extend our multi-cloud platform, embedding AI and automation into operations, and enabling teams to adopt AI safely and effectively. The role collaborates with product owners, architects, engineers and security across the business to deliver scalable, secure platform capabilities.

This hands-on engineering role covers platform delivery, AI-driven operations, resilience, observability and governance, with a focus on measurable outcomes and value across

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience building and operating cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications, APIs, services or platforms.
• Strong software engineering or scripting capability.

Responsibilities

• Platform delivery: design, build and deliver new platform capabilities across a multi-cloud environment.
• AI-driven platform operations: apply AI and automation to improve operations and workflows.
• Resilience, reliability and service quality: design for reliability and observability, monitor and improve performance.
• Measurement and value: build reporting and KPIs to show business impact of platform.
• Enablement and adoption: design and promote reusable patterns, self-service capabilities and go-live support.
• Governance, security and responsible AI: ensure security, governance and risk controls across AI lifecycle.
