Job summary

Version 1 is seeking experienced Delivery Managers to guide agile delivery on government projects, shaping the growing delivery management community. You will apply pragmatic agile practices, coach teams, and support multidisciplinary workstreams while promoting strong client relationships and ongoing delivery improvements.

The role emphasises coaching, a T-shaped skillset, and a dedicated coaching model through a skills academy.

Qualifications

• Broad experience with agile frameworks across project lifecycles in service or software delivery.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse teams and clients.
• Strong listening and written/verbal communication to facilitate meetings and negotiations.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on roadmap and deadlines.
• Servant leadership to motivate and empower teams and foster a positive culture.
• Understanding of contract frameworks and managing project budgets and risks.
• Flexibility to adapt delivery approaches to different client contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery in one or two workstreams using agile principles tailored to client needs.
• Oversee execution with proactive planning and risk/issue management to protect delivery timelines.
• Act as a key client liaison, translating needs into feasible delivery plans.
• Improve team culture, performance, health, and ways of working.
• Contribute to building the delivery management community of practice and coach peers.
