Viasat is seeking a RTO Security Analyst to join the frontline 24x7 team monitoring the network for suspicious activity and triaging security alerts. The role includes incident handling across online and on-premises infrastructures, identifying attack use cases and blocking issues to contain risks, and reviewing false positives. 5-week 12-hour shift rota.

Fully remote with monthly in-office days. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Information Security, Forensics, or CS, with experience in SOC

Qualifikationen

• University degree level education or equivalent in Information Security, Forensics, or Computer Science.

Aufgaben

• Security monitoring, managing security cases & tickets, security incident analysis, and other security tasks.
• Analysing security logs to identify actionable events (SIEM reports, alerts, tickets, system, network, security monitoring tools).
• Determine attack type based on triage of events collected.
• Demonstrate analytical & technical thinking when triaging system & network events.
• Ensure all incidents are recorded with detailed triage, artifacts, and IOCS captured & documented.
• Participate in feedback into the design, implementation, and administration of security tools/rules to reduce false positives.
• Analyse data sets, identify gaps, and propose fixes to the RTO lead analyst.
