VIQU IT Recruitment is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst for a 2‑month contract, primarily remote with one onsite day in London. You will monitor Rapid7 and SIEM alerts, conduct security investigations and support vulnerability management within a BAU security framework.

The role focuses on alert triage, incident response and security operations, including Mimecast, Purview, Netskope and CrowdStrike activities, with formal documentation and internal DDQ support.

Qualifications

• Experience triaging alerts and conducting security investigations.
• Hands-on with vulnerability management using Rapid7.
• Proficient in SIEM monitoring and incident response.
• Mimecast administration and email security operations.
• Knowledge of Purview, eDiscovery, DSAR and DLP.
• Experience with CrowdStrike and Netskope for alert management.
• Understanding of SOC/Security Operations and BAU security processes.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and triage Rapid7 and SIEM alerts, reducing backlog.
• Perform security investigations and identify threats or suspicious activity.
• Support vulnerability management using Rapid7; review and prioritize findings.
• Monitor security events via SIEM tooling and escalate incidents as needed.
• Manage Mimecast security operations: email reviews, quarantined messages, whitelisting.
• Support Purview activities including eDiscovery, DSARs and DLP.
• Handle Netskope requests: site reviews and URL unblocking.
• Monitor and triage CrowdStrike alerts and maintain records.
• Provide admin support for security DDQs and information security requests.
• Maintain investigation records and security documentation.
