Job summary

Appoint Consulting Recruitment Specialists is recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join a thriving, family-owned business. This role offers the option to work from home 2 days per week, with hybrid flexibility and a focus on accurate financial reporting and planning.

You will deliver timely management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, manage reconciliations and journal entries, and assist audits.

Qualifications

• Strong NetSuite experience within a finance environment.
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience within retail or product-based environments is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with management, procurement and directors regarding budgets and forecasting.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries when required.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts and cost centre P&L.
• Support budget preparation, monitor variances and highlight issues to management.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Respond to finance queries.
