Cobalt is seeking a Remediation Project Manager to oversee a programme of residential building safety and remediation works, focusing on cladding, external wall systems and fire safety. You will coordinate across consultants, delivery teams and managing agents to ensure projects progress and compliance.
The role reports to the Director of Operations and Estates and requires travel to sites nationwide, with three days per week in Borehamwood.
Cobalt is working with a national residential property business to appoint a Remediation Project Manager to oversee building safety and remediation projects across its portfolio.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a programme of residential remediation works, with a particular focus on cladding, external wall systems and fire safety.
Our client manages a substantial portfolio of residential properties across England and Wales and is investing in its building safety and remediation programme.
With approximately 30 live projects and further buildings being assessed, the business offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of remediation works that improve building safety and outcomes for residents.
The organisation offers:
Reporting to the Director of operations and Estates, the Remediation Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of residential building safety and major works projects, coordinating managing agents, consultants and appointed delivery teams.
This is a client-side oversight position rather than a hands-on technical role. You will work alongside surveyors, fire engineers, quantity surveyors and other specialists to ensure building defects are understood, funding arrangements are established and remediation projects progress towards completion.
Key responsibilities include:
We are looking for a Remediation Project Manager with experience of residential building safety projects and an understanding of cladding remediation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Knowledge of government remediation funding schemes, developer remediation frameworks or the Developer Pledge would be beneficial. Project management qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2 or CIOB would also be advantageous.
You do not need to be a technical specialist across every aspect of remediation. The priority is experience in residential building safety, particularly cladding remediation, alongside the ability to coordinate consultants and maintain project oversight.
Due to the volume of applications received, if you don't hear back from us, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
If you require any adjustments or additional support during the recruitment process for any reason whatsoever, please let your Cobalt consultant know.
