Watling Academy, a secondary school in Milton Keynes with Ofsted Outstanding status and a new sixth form, is seeking a Permanent Religious Studies teacher. The role involves teaching RS to pupils aged 11–18 and developing critical thinking and reflection on beliefs, with a focus on safeguarding and personal growth.

Responsabilités

• Teach religious studies to explore a range of beliefs and practices, including Judaism, Christianity and Buddhism
• Plan engaging lessons that build critical thinking and reasoning
• Foster questioning, evaluation and reasoning as central to classroom learning
• Develop students' empathy and understanding of cultural diversity through varied religious traditions
• Guide students to reflect on their personal beliefs, actions and influence on others and the world around them
