Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed Religious Education Teacher for a thriving inner-city secondary school in Leeds. The role is full-time and contract until Christmas, starting immediately.

You will teach RE across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE classes, plan and assess work, and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom. A QTS or equivalent is required, with experience in RE or a Humanities background suitable for teaching RE.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level, or a Humanities specialism with the ability to teach RE confidently.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young people.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
• Available on a full-time basis until Christmas.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching GCSE RE classes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing student work in line with departmental expectations.
• Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupil progress and raising attainment across the subject.
