Job summary

Academics are seeking a passionate RE teacher to join a strong secondary school in the Leeds area for a November 2026 start. You will guide students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to reach their full potential while delivering engaging RE lessons.

Responsibilities include classroom management, collaboration with the RE team, and contributing to the curriculum. Right to work in the UK, QTS, RE degree and DBS update service are required. Weekly PAYE pay and CPD opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• QTS required.
• RE-related degree required.
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).

• Teaching RE to KS3 and KS4 to a high standard.
• Engaging with colleagues to share ideas and contribute to the RE curriculum.
• Create a positive classroom environment where students can express their beliefs.

Academics are currently searching for a passionate RE teacher to work in one of our highly regarded secondary schools in the Leeds area for a November 2026 start. Key responsibilities of an RE teacher:

• Controlling the classroom and ensuring that the schools behaviour policy is being followed
• Teaching RE to a high standard to students across KS3 and KS4
• Engaging with other members of the team, sharing ideas and contributing towards the RE curriculum
• Create a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their religious beliefs

Requirements of an RE teacher:

• Right to work in the UK
• Qualified teaching status (QTS)
• A relevant degree related to RE
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
