Job summary

Mencap in Worksop is seeking Relief Support Workers to join our team. A driving license is essential and female applicants only due to service. You will assist with daily activities, provide emotional support and help maintain a 24-hour care rota in a diverse, inclusive environment.

We offer ongoing training, a positive workplace, and opportunities to develop skills for caring for people with learning disabilities. DBS enhanced disclosure is required.

Job description

Mencap is seeking passionate Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Worksop.

A driving license is essential for this role, all applicants without a driving license will not be able to proceed.

As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities . You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for :

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

*Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.

An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate
