Job summary

Mencap in Conwy is seeking Relief Support Workers to join our caring team. You will help individuals with learning disabilities with daily activities, provide emotional support, and promote independence.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are required. You should be flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, with a positive, empathetic approach and a willingness to learn.

Job description

Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Conwy.

As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

You will need a full driving licence for this role.

What we're looking for:

A genuine passion for supporting others.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This role requires you to hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to your own car .

Contract options:

Relief ( flexible hours based o n availability )

Most of our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

There is also a non-contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of£ 6 4 . 2 0 .

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references, one of which, must be your most recent / current employer.
