Job summary

Corps Security (UK) Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled SIA licensed Relief Security Officer to cover multiple client premises in and around Leeds, York, Bradford and surrounding areas. You will be trained to work holiday and sickness cover, with a view to fixed shifts when opportunities arise.

The role requires excellent communication, strong customer focus, and the ability to work under pressure. Ideal candidates will hold a valid SIA Front-Line licence and a UK driving licence, with a commitment

Qualifications

• SIA Front‑Line license is essential.
• UK manual driving licence is required.
• Excellent communication and a strong customer focus are needed.
• Able to work across variable shifts including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance with regular site patrols and record activities per requirements.
• Brief and sign in/out visitors and contractors on site.
• Record entry/exit of deliveries and process related paperwork.
• Ensure patrols meet required standards and respond to incidents calmly.
• Set/unset alarm systems for out of hours security as applicable.
• Follow site waste management procedures and maintain logs.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident reports and site reports.
• Keep training records up to date and maintain first aid and fire marshal training per guidelines.
• Maintain professional SIA standards and display licence at all times.
• Perform ad hoc duties and cover holidays/sickness for multiple client premises.

Job description

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
  We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer able to work shifts in Leeds, York, Bradford and surrounding areas also, to be trained and required to work at several of our client's premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise., Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A UK Manual Driving License - essential
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
