Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to cover several client premises for holiday and sickness leave, with potential for a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise. The role involves adapting to various locations and hours.

You will patrol sites, brief visitors, log deliveries, operate alarm systems, and maintain records. A valid SIA front-line license and driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Front-Line license required.
• Valid UK driving license essential.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle or reliable transport.
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site surveillance with patrols and records.
• Brief and sign in/out visitors and contractors.
• Record deliveries and process paperwork per procedures.
• Ensure patrols are carried out to standards.
• Set and unset alarm systems for out-of-hours security if applicable.
• Comply with waste management procedures.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident records.
• Familiarize with Assignment Instructions, risk assessments, and safety docs; advise as needed.
• Maintain training records, especially first aid and fire marshal per guidelines.
• Apply SIA skills with professionalism; display licence.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client's premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise.,

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
