Job summary

Corps Security Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer in Walsall to cover holidays and sickness across client premises. You will work various hours and be flexible to cover days, nights and weekends, with potential to move into a fixed pattern.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License is essential.
• A Full UK Manual Driving License is essential.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per requirements.
• Ensure visitors and contractors are briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record entry and exit of deliveries on site and process paperwork per procedures.
• Carry out patrols to required standards on site.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarms for out-of-hours security where applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident records and site reports.
• Familiarise with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and safety documents; advise on improvements.
• Maintain training records and ensure first aid and fire marshal training stay up to date.
• Maintain SIA skills and keep licence displayed; perform ad hoc duties as directed.

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer in Walsall to be trained and required to work at several of our client's premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise.

You will work - Various hours and be flexible to cover days, nights and weekends.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A Full UK Manual Driving License - essential
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve an EDBS and vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
