Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to cover holiday and sickness at client premises, with a view to fixed shift patterns when opportunities arise.

You will perform site patrols, manage visitor sign-in/out, process deliveries, and ensure alarms are correctly set for out-of-hours security. A valid SIA Front-Line License is essential, with CCTV license desirable, plus driving and IT skills.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Front-Line License is essential.

• Strong communication and customer service focus are required.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle or reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance with regular site patrols and document patrols.
• Brief and sign in visitors and contractors; manage access.
• Record deliveries and complete site paperwork per procedures.
• Ensure alarms are set/unset for out-of-hours security as applicable.
• Follow risk assessments and quality/safety documents; report changes to duty manager.
• Keep training records up to date, including first aid and fire marshal training.
• Demonstrate professionalism, uphold SIA license display at all times.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client's premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise.,

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.

• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
