Job summary

Wilson James is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover shifts across West London. You will welcome staff and visitors, conduct patrols, monitor access points and CCTV, and respond to alarms and incidents. Completing detailed reports and assisting in emergencies are key parts of the role.

Applicants must hold a current DS SIA Licence and have proven security experience. You will need to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.

• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

About the Role:

As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming staff and visitors and creating a safe, professional atmosphere
• Conducting regular patrols and monitor premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team
