Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting for a Relief security officer in Gateshead to provide safety and security within a busy retail store, patrolling premises, greeting customers, and assisting staff.

You must hold an SIA license, have a 5-year checkable work history, and be physically fit with the ability to work under pressure. The role is ad hoc shifts with a permanent transfer after 12 weeks and a benefits package on transfer.

• Experience in a similar role, would be an advantage.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Relief security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58ph

Location – Gateshead

Shift Timings – Must be available to work ad hoc shifts as required.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.
