Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Relief security officer for a retail store in Coventry. You will provide safety and security to staff and visitors, patrol premises, greet customers, and assist staff while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires an SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and physical fitness to handle high-pressure situations. Ad-hoc shifts are expected and a permanent transfer after 12 weeks is possible.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• Five-year checkable work history required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the store premises.
• Handing out baskets.
• Greeting customers and helping staff.
• Monitoring entry/exit points and investigating disturbances.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.

About the role

Title – Relief security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58ph

Location – Coventry

Shift Timings – Must be available to work adhoc shifts as required.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
