Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust in Leeds is seeking relief cleaners to join a friendly team. The role covers classrooms, offices and washrooms, with no prior experience needed and full training provided. You will be called upon on an as-and-when-needed basis to cover staff absences and busy periods.

You'll work with a supportive team, follow health and safety rules, and may participate in occasional deep cleans during holidays. DBS checks and safeguarding are required for the role.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training is provided from day one.
• Reliability, teamwork and a strong work ethic valued over paper qualifications.
• Committed to creating a safe environment for pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.
• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies fully stocked.
• Using cleaning equipment safely (Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines taught).
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holidays.
• Helping lock or unlock the site and keep the premises secure.
