Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust invites applications for a relief cleaner to join our supportive cleaning team. You'll help keep classrooms, offices and washrooms fresh, clean and welcoming for pupils and staff, with flexibility to cover absences and busy periods.

No prior experience or qualifications are required; full training is provided. You will learn Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines and work as part of a friendly team committed to safeguarding and a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with physical work (lifting, carrying and active movement).

• Committed to creating a safe environment for pupils and staff.
• Flexible hours and relief shift work as required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.
• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies fully stocked.
• Using cleaning equipment and products safely (Health & Safety and COSHH training provided).
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holiday periods.
• Helping lock or unlock the site and keeping the school premises secure.
