Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting Relief Retail Security officers to cover holidays and sickness at locations within the Wigan and Greater Manchester area. Full training is provided, with a competitive hourly rate and access to a pension, health plans, and ongoing development.

Shifts vary from early 6am starts to late finishes, with the possibility of full-time hours for those seeking greater flexibility. Applicants must have an SIA licence, be 18+, and possess a clean, checkable history.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over to work in front-line licensable activity
• SIA guarding or door supervision licence held
• 5 years of checkable work and address history
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and smart in appearance
• Friendly, approachable and professional at all times
• Enthusiastic and motivated to perform well
• Some security or customer-facing experience is preferred
• Able to engage with clients and customers positively
• Able to work as part of a team and build good working relationships
• Must provide original documents for screening and vetting (e.g. passport, driving licence, utility bill)

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence to deter crime
• Ensure colleague safety and provide reassurance
• Engage with the public in a proactive and professional manner
• Control access and egress, and conduct security patrols
• Manage incidents with effective conflict resolution
• Follow safety and security procedures at all times
