Job summary

Mitie is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people, deter theft and maintain a safe shopping environment. You will provide a reassuring presence on the shop floor and deliver excellent customer service while contributing to loss prevention efforts.

Flexible shifts discussed at interview, with paid lunch breaks and contracted hours. A proactive, professional approach and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting).

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
