Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Relief Retail Security Officer to protect Sainsbury's stores in the Oxford City Area, including Westgate, Park End Street and St Aldates. You will deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment, with 45 hours per week and potential overtime.

A current SIA licence is preferred, and a full 5-year checkable history is required. Training/licence options may be available in some cases.

• SIA licence or willingness to undergo training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service.
• Deter violence and public order offences.
• Conduct patrols of the store.
• Utilise CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.

• Work with Police/crime partnerships to improve safety.
• Wear Body Worn CCTV to increase safety.

Pay rate: £14.51

Hours: Full time hours

45 hours with possible overtime

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for a Relief retail security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

It is preferrable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service

• To deter violence and public order offences

• To conduct patrols of the store

• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

• Liaise with the store management teams

• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store

• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
