Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people and property on the shop floor, helping to prevent loss and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

This part-time, casual role offers £14.51–£16.00 per hour with guaranteed contracted hours, paid lunch breaks, uniform provided and ongoing training. A valid SIA licence and a 5-year vetted history are required to join Mitie.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

About the Role

This is a role where no two days are the same as you'll be helping to protect people, prevent loss and create a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues alike.
