Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor while maintaining a calm, professional presence. The role focuses on loss prevention, customer care and community safety across store environments.

Shifts are flexible and discussed at interview, with guaranteed contracted hours and paid lunch breaks. Mitie provides uniform, ongoing training, and support for SIA licence renewal where applicable.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence is required or willingness to complete training (support may be provided).
• A full 5-year checkable employment/education history is essential for vetting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols.
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Work closely with store management teams.
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety onsite.

What You'll Be Doing
