Job summary

Mitie in Gloucester is seeking an on-site security professional to provide safety and security for property, people and assets, following Assignment Instructions and meeting KPIs.

You will deliver exceptional customer service to staff and visitors, undertake training for continuous self-development, and uphold Mitie and client reputation. As a relief role covering sickness/holidays, you must be flexible to pick up shifts at short notice.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of ASCONE.
• Must have full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Shifts vary from 08:00–22:00 Mon–Sat and 09:30–17:00 Sun; flexible to work any day/time.
• Minimum 6-hour contract; permanent weekly shift Sundays 11:00–17:00 in Gloucester.

Various shifts times (between Monday - Saturday 08:00 and 22:00, Sunday 09:30-17:00) - must be flexible to work any day/ time

Job Overview

You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people and/ or assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key Performance Indicators. Provide exceptional customer service to both staff and visitors alike, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development, all whilst upholding both Mitie and our client's reputation.

As this is a relief role covering both sickness and holiday absences, you must be flexible in terms of what days you work and able to pick up shifts at short notice.

Main Duties

• Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site
• Conduct regular patrols of the site
• Deliver customer service to both staff and visitors.
• Support the staff with any reasonable request
• Ensure the relevant reports are completed in order for accurate information to be recorded

Training

For this role, you will be required to fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Operations Manager. You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site
• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage, whilst using common sense and initiative to ensure the situation does not become threatening
• Being both proactive and reactive when delivering customer service to diffuse situations to avoid escalation
• To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers
• Complete an accurate and detailed entry of any incidents that occur on the system provided on site
• To call emergency services and Control Room to report all serious incidents
