Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people and property while ensuring a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues.

The role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, with weekend work likely and 26 hours per week. A paid lunch break is included, and an SIA license may be required or supported by Mitie.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete training)
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to deter theft and handle challenging situations
• Good observation and patrol skills
• Teamwork and liaison with store management and police

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carry out regular store patrols
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Work closely with store management teams
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety on site

What You'll Be Doing
