Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and colleagues on the shop floor, deter theft and maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

You will provide visible security, deliver excellent customer service, conduct regular patrols and operate CCTV, working with store management and local partners. The role offers flexible shifts and paid lunch breaks, with guaranteed contracted hours, uniform provided and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence or willingness to complete the training.
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carrying out regular store patrols.
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Working closely with store management teams.
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite.
