Job summary

Lucy Cavendish College in Cambridge is seeking a Relief Porter to work nights on a casual basis to provide an efficient and friendly service to students, visitors, Fellows and staff. Hours are typically from 7pm-7am, with ad-hoc coverage to cover sickness and holidays.

You will greet visitors, provide a telephone and mail delivery service, and contribute to security and emergency response at both on- and off-site buildings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred although training will be provided.

Lucy Cavendish College looking to recruit a Relief Porter to work nights on a casual basis to provide an efficient and friendly service to students, visitors, Fellows and staff of the College. Duties include greeting visitors, providing a telephone and mail delivery service, security and fire and emergency response at both on and offsite buildings.

Hours are available on an ad-hoc basis to cover sickness absence and holidays with the hours typically from 7pm-7am.

You will be courteous, professional and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be flexible and understand the importance of discretion and sensitivity. Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred although training will be provided.
