Job summary

Lucy Cavendish College is recruiting Relief Porters for night shifts on a casual basis. The role involves greeting visitors, handling telephone and mail duties, ensuring security and supporting emergency response at both on- and off-site buildings. Hours are ad-hoc, typically 7pm–7am, to cover sickness and holidays.

Training will be provided, and discretion and strong communication are essential. Candidates should be courteous, professional, and flexible, with good interpersonal skills.

Lucy Cavendish College looking to recruit Relief Porters to work nights on a casual basis to provide an efficient and friendly service to students, visitors, Fellows and staff of the College.Duties include greeting visitors, providing a telephone and mail delivery service, security and fire and emergency response at both on and offsite buildings.

Hours are available on an ad-hoc basis to cover sickness absence and holidays with the hours typically from 7pm – 7am.

You will be courteous, professional and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be flexible and understand the importance of discretion and sensitivity. Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred although training will be provided.
