Job summary

Compass Group UK at Goodenough College is looking for a Night Porter to support the smooth running of operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 36 hours per week. The role involves rotating shifts, with weekends included, providing high standards of customer care and cleanliness.

You will assist in preparing rooms, helping housekeeping and banqueting staff, responding to guest requests, running errands, and ensuring safety through clear signage.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or front-of-house is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Keep lobby and public areas clean and tidy.
• Assist housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture.
• Respond to customer requests where required.
• Run errands as needed.
• Ensure safety by placing/removing wet-floor or other signage.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated night Porter to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Goodenough College on a full time basis, contracted to 36 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy
• Helping housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture
• Responding to customer requests where required
• Running errands
• Ensuring the safety of customers by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paints
