Job Overview

Mitie is seeking a Relief Logistics Security Officer to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe environment free from crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable to hold a current SIA license or certificates, although training can be provided in some circumstances.

Vetting

A full 5-year checkable employment/education history is essential; failure to provide this may result in withdrawal of the offer or cessation of employment.

Main Duties

1. Deliver industry-leading customer service
2. Conduct patrols of the depot
3. Provide visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
4. Utilize CCTV systems to support crime and stock loss reduction
5. Liaise with depot management teams
6. Deter theft and other poor practices
7. Conduct searches (details to be discussed at interview)
8. Respond to incidents or requests for assistance, taking control until relevant authorities arrive
9. Highlight breaches of security procedures and internal/external crimes
10. Support access and egress management using installed systems
11. Perform gatehouse duties, including vehicle bookings and supporting transport operations (details at interview)
12. Maintain reasonable PC skills
