Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Relief Kitchen Assistant to join our Hospitality team across North West London. This casual bank role supports our campus, care homes and community centres, with shifts typically 7am–3pm and occasional weekends.

You will assist with food prep, service, and maintaining a clean, hygienic environment in a busy kitchen setting. Basic Food Hygiene is preferred, with training available as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to undertake)
• Great communication skills, confident speaking to a range of people
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Willing to undertake appropriate training (e.g., Supervision, NVQ Training)

• Preparing and arranging food counters and dining areas, ready for service

Job description

Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Relief Kitchen Assistant to join our Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working. The role of Relief Kitchen Assistant will involve the delivery of Hospitality Services within our Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to excellent standards. This post is for bank/ relief staff working on a casual basis as and when required across our resources in North West London. This will cover Golders Green and Hendon and surrounding areas of Barnet. The role is to cover absence and hours are not guaranteed. Shifts generally work 7am to 3pm with occasional weekends as and when required.

Who are we looking for?

You will ideally have previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment, working both independently and within a team.

You will need:
