Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd is seeking a Relief Kitchen Assistant at Bridge Haven, Canterbury. You will help create nutritious meals and support a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents. This part-time role involves prep, serving meals, maintaining hygiene, and assisting the Cook/Head Chef.

A strong team mindset and commitment to high food safety standards are essential. Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene is essential; City & Guilds qualification desirable.

Qualifications

Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene is essential.
Experience in a similar role and City & Guilds qualification desirable.
Team player with a positive, flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

Prep fresh ingredients and assist with meal preparation.
Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents.
Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and hygienic.
Follow food hygiene, safety and nutritional standards.
Help plan menus with input from residents.
Support the Cook/Head Chef in daily tasks.
