Job summary

Hafod Housing Association Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the daily central kitchen at a residents' home in Caerphilly. You will assist with preparing, cooking and serving meals, helping to maintain high standards of food quality, safety and hygiene.

You will work as part of a friendly team, report equipment concerns and support COSHH procedures, sanitation and the overall dining experience for residents, with training provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, cooking and serving meals and drinks.
• Support food safety compliance, including COSHH procedures and Food Safety standards.
• Carry out general kitchen duties such as washing up, setting tables and cleaning.
• Report any equipment faults or concerns and work as part of a supportive team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
