Job summary

Caron Group in mid and south Wales is seeking a Catering Support to assist the Chef/Cook in ensuring nutritious meals and meeting the dietary needs of residents. You will support meal service and provide refreshments, crockery, cutlery, glassware and dry foods as required.

You will help maintain high cleanliness standards, monitor temperatures, support Health & Safety records, and assist with stock control and food provisioning while ensuring residents receive balanced diets and allergen-aware

Qualifications

• Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
• At least 1 year of Catering experience.
• At least 1 year of Kitchen Assistant experience.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food.
• Completing cleaning schedules.
• Maintaining very high standards of cleanliness.
• Monitor fridge / freezer temperatures.
• Report to Hospitality Coordinator for any concerns.
• Complete ongoing file for Health & Safety.
• Wash up dishes, pots and pans put through the steriliser.
• Keep china, cutlery and beakers in a very clean state.
• Monitor stock rotation.
• Maintain balanced diet for residents.
• Ensure knowledge of residents with special diet or allergies.
• Have awareness of the diabetics and their special diet.
• Assist Hospitality Coordinator in the ordering, storage and provision of food.
• Keep surfaces clean and sterilised.
• Keep appliances clean and safe.
