Job summary

ClwydAlyn Housing Limited is seeking a Relief Domestic & Catering Assistant for Chirk Court Care Home. This role supports daily cleanliness and meal service, helping to create a welcoming, safe environment for residents and staff.

The position offers an hourly rate of £13.45 with flexible shifts to suit availability. You will join a supportive team focused on dignity and wellbeing of residents, within a not-for-profit housing and care organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, domestic, hospitality or catering roles.
• Understanding of health and safety and COSHH.
• Experience working in a customer-focused team environment.
• Good communication and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training.
• Experience within a care, housing or support setting would be beneficial but is not essential.

About the Role

As a Relief Domestic & Catering Assistant, you'll support the smooth day-to-day running of Chirk Court by helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food service.

You'll assist with cleaning communal areas, supporting kitchen operations, food preparation and meal service, while helping to create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.

No two days are the same. One shift may involve supporting meal preparation and serving residents, while another may focus on maintaining cleanliness standards or supporting the wider team with day-to-day activities around the scheme.
