Job summary

Chirk Court, part of ClwydAlyn, is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, meals, mobility and daily routines in a warm, home‑like environment.

You'll work as part of a caring team, building relationships, showing kindness and respect, with ongoing training and development, a strong values base, and generous benefits including 25 days leave, pension, free meals on shift and wellbeing initiatives.

• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and mobility.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration and nutrition.

• Spend time talking, listening and building relationships with residents.
• Help residents feel comfortable, safe and socially engaged.
• Support with medication following training and procedures.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Respond calmly and compassionately to changing needs.

About Chirk Court

Home to older adults, including residents living with dementia, the home is designed around five smaller household-style communities. Rather than supporting many residents at once, you\'ll typically support around 14 residents within their own household area.

This creates a calmer, more personal environment where residents are truly known as individuals and meaningful relationships can be built every day.

We\'re also proud of our sensory garden, which provides a peaceful space for residents to relax, socialise and enjoy the outdoors. The garden has even received recognition from The King for the positive impact it has had on residents and the wider community.

What Your Day Might Look Like

• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, mobility and toileting

Previous care experience is welcome, but it isn\'t essential. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.

If you don\'t already hold a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care, we\'ll support you to achieve it. We\'ll also help you register with Social Care Wales and continue developing your career in care.
