Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced cleaner to join the team at Locks Heath Shopping Village, Southampton. This relief cleaning operative role is on a zero-hour contract with regular Sunday shifts and variable hours to cover annual leave and absences.

You will perform a range of cleaning tasks to a high standard, with attention to detail, and demonstrate good communication while supporting site clients in a professional manner.

• Carry out other reasonable management requests.

Job Role: ReliefCleaning Operative

Working Hours: Zero hours

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Location: Locks Heath Shopping Village, Locks Heath, Southampton, Hampshire, SO31 6DX

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced cleaner to join our established team at Locks Heath Shopping Village. This position has arisen as a result of Anchor's ongoing expansion, making it an exciting time to join our expanding team and be part of a dynamic future.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of cleaning tasks, safely and professionally, to a high standard. You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, have the ability to communicate on all levels and provide flexibility to cover additional shifts, as and when required.

There will be regular Sunday shifts available working 08:30 to 11:30 and additional adhoc shifts when required.

This is a relief position on a zero-hour contract to provide site cover, therefore, the successful candidate must be flexible and available to cover annual leave, sickness absence, and other operational needs as required.

Duties include:

• Cleaning of designated areas, ensuring the agreed cleaning specification is completed, as per the site instructions
• Emptying of bins, ensuring recycled waste is disposed of correctly
• Attending to spillages by making sure they are cleaned up, within an efficient timeframe, to prevent accidents and ensure site and staff safety
• Following H&S and COSHH regulations
• Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals
• Proactive interaction with on-site clients and customers, offering superb customer service.
